Old Hopi Pueblo Indian Kachina Dancer TABLETA with Kokopelli and Sun/fine cond
An OLD HOPI TABLETA
Of the sort used by a Hopi Indian kachina dancer, consisting of house paint on a single cut thin wood framework, painted to depict the sun, bear or badger prints, and Kokopelli figures. This mid 20th century Tableta fresh from an old estate collection. Measuring 13 x 18 in. There is no leather strapping or otherwise in evidence. Offered here for the first time anywhere.
