This auction is for a 1996 game-worn/usedBaltimore Orioles black alternate Sunday jersey. Jersey was worn by pitcher Kent Mercker, #21. Jersey is made by Russell, size 46. Front of jersey has sewn on “Orioles” and 21 in 3 colors. Velcro patch between 2nd and 3rd buttons. Name is sewn on name plate sewn on jersey. Russell logo embroidered on right sleeve. Oriole patch on left sleeve. Has the Russell jock tag. Team tagging below jock tag and has “95” on it. Flag tags (curled in photo) has “100% POLYESTER” and “1” EXTRA LENGTH” on them. Jersey is a recycled 1995 shirt used in 1996. The Orioles stripped of the the orange plackard that ran on the front of the shirts along the opening and collar. Remnants can be seen by the team name. Jersey shows moderate use. Jersey comes with a  LOA/COA from Ball Park Heroes. Mercker pitched in 14 games for the Orioles in 1996 going 3-6 in 12 starts with a 7.76 ERA before being traded to the Cleveland Indians. Kent played 18 years in MLB including with the Braves, Rockies, Angels, Indians, Red Sox, Cardinals, Cubs and Reds. Drafted with the 5th pick by Atlanta in 1986. He is a Dublin Coffman HS product.
